Vintage Mac Baren, VIRGINIA No 1 pipe tobacco, sealed tin. NET WT. 3 1/2 OZ. Post "Mac Baren's" logo, but with fully painted lid, no warnings or bar code, etc. ... likely 1990s.
On lid edge: "MADE IN DENMARK"
... and: "IMPORTED BY: FABER, COE & GREGG, INC - 9 ENTIN ROAD, CLIFTON, N.J. 07014"
Appears to be unused. Both the lid and bottom are still depressed, and zero inside movement is detected, so this is believed to remain factory sealed.
Tin was very well kept, some oxidation around perimeter of canister, zero cracking, etc. Minor shelf wear with lots of tiny light scratching on the lid, and rub at the contact points. Several small dents and dings in various places on the underside.
This has always been maintained in a dry, temperature controlled home, but the exterior has been exposed to pipe tobacco smoke.
