Capstan Blue was originally created by W.D. & H.O. Wills of Bristol well over a century ago. It's remained a favorite to countless pipe smokers across generations (J.R.R. Tolkien having been one of its most noted aficionados), a testament to the quality of this fine Virginia tobacco.
A smooth, Bright Virginia flake of famous refinement and antiquarian origins, Capstan Yellow was originally created by W.D. & H.O. Wills of Bristol during the latter half of the 19th century. Suffice to say, it's no accident this smoking mixture has survived as a favorite to so many generations.
Tried to see the date of Gold, but the label would not peel back. But, both have over 5 years of age on them. Both sealed.
