Description
Do you miss the years of yore? If you're a pipe tobacco enthusiast, you certainly remember looking forward to McClelland's Christmas Cheer in your pipe each year! I certainly did! Unfortunately, McClelland closed their doors forever in 2018 and this blend is disappearing fast!
This is your chance to add not one, but TWO magnificently aged tins of Christmas Cheer to your collection - chosen for their unique juxtaposition of flavors, known for complementing and playing off of one another.
There's no reserve on this one!
This auction contains:
1 sealed 100g tin of McClelland's Christmas Cheer from 2016
1 sealed 100g tin of McClelland's Christmas Cheer from 2017
About the blend:
-------------------------
The McClelland’s 2016 and 2017 batches of Christmas cheer were *exceptional*. They were hand blended and aged in pressed cakes to develop a natural mellowness. The interesting bit is that the flavors in the 2016 and 2017 batches played off of each other very well.
The 2016 blend was made with a special selection of ripe, red, flue-cured Virginias from a superb 2010 Middle-Belt tobacco crop. The 2016 blend was known for a deliciously grassy, fruity and earthy taste, with notes of spice and tang
The 2017 blend was a straight, broken-flake red Virginia tobacco made from a 2013 crop grown in North Carolina. The tasting notes of this blend featured, notes of dark fruit, earth, toast, and citrus. Compared to 2016, the flavor profile was noted as having more "darker" and "deeper" flavor tones versus 2016's tangier and spicier impressions.
Both the 2016 and 2017 blends were known for burning exceptionally well and for aging with distinction.
This tasting experience, having both noted blends at the same time, is rare. You're going to want to enjoy these two blends slowly, side by side, making sure to savor each and every last flake!
McClelland's blends are suggested for seasoned collectors and contemporary pipe-tobacco enthusiasts looking to add a piece of history to their tobacco tasting experience.

Both tins are sealed. The 2016 tin was purchased in 2016, the 2017 tin was purchased in 2017. Both tins have been stored in a climate-controlled tobacco cellar since their purchase date.
