Two sealed tins of Mac Baren HH — one HH Vintage Syrian, 1.75oz, dated FEB 2015; one HH Latakia Flake, 1.75oz, dated APR 2015. Both made in Denmark by Mac Baren Tobacco, imported by Sutliff Tobacco Company. Offered together, no reserve.

Syrian Latakia is gone. The leaf — grown in the Latakia and Ghab regions of Syria, sun-cured then smoke-cured over aromatic woods — effectively disappeared from the market as Syrian production collapsed in the early 2000s. What remained was quietly blended off over the following decade. HH Vintage Syrian was Mac Baren's tribute to that leaf while it still existed, and these 2015 tins represent tobacco that was blended and sealed when genuine Syrian stocks were at their absolute end. You are not buying a blend that approximates this — you are buying the thing itself, a decade cellared.

HH Latakia Flake pairs alongside it — a hot-pressed English built on Cyprian Latakia with Virginias and Orientals, another expression of the HH line at its finest.

Both tins sealed, perfect condition. Ten-plus years of undisturbed cellaring in a climate-controlled wine cellar as part of the 99-tin, 20+ lb La Clave Collection. Offered at peak, with the true connoisseur in mind.
