vintage pack of "Smiling" Johnson Chewing Tobacco, manufactured by Harvey's Inc., exactly as pictured in IMG_7493.jpg.
This elusive regional piece is completely unopened and factory-sealed with its original tobacco contents entirely intact. The side panel features a flawless, unbroken blue United States Internal Revenue tobacco tax stamp reading "Series 109," dating this exact pack precisely to 1939—making it a phenomenal, pre-WWII depression-era survivor.
The front face features a striking, high-contrast portrait of the "Smiling Johnson" mascot framed inside a sharp gold-bordered window, surrounded by deep plum-purple and forest green graphics. The packaging proudly highlights it as "The Happy Medium" and manufactured by the "Exclusive Usher Process."
For an 87-year-old paper pouch, the condition is really nice.
