Description

These have been fermenting inside a vacuum sealed tin for over 30 years! I opened up one of these tins awhile back and it let out a long loud audible hissing sound. Upon opening the tin I was greeted with the smell of manure, almost like a cup of fishing worms left baking in the hot sun all day. Once the foul smell of the fermentation gasses settled, the cigars had a nice, dried fruit aroma. If you have ever smelled the dry fruit inside a bag of trail mix, that is what they reminded me of. Likewise, the dry pull of the cigar even had a nice, dried fruit taste. The cigars inside had a nice coating of plume or sugar crystallization. These were an excellent smooth smoke with notes of dried fruit. Where else are you going to find a vacuum sealed cigar from the 90's? You are sure to feel like the president of the United States when smoking these.

In 1994, Pacific Cigar Company purchased a rare crop of tobacco grown in 1991. Realizing the quality and condition of the tobacco, we hand-rolled approximately 2 million with the intention to reserve these cigars, only releasing a portion to the general public. It was at this time that Pacific Cigar Company launched a cigar line that would be a tribute to the highest office of the United States. The Presidential Cigars.

When Pacific Cigar introduced the tubes, the Series was discontinued and the remaining stock was warehoused and only brought out under special circumstances. Over the years, various auction housed and Presidential memorabilia sties have auctioned the Presidential cans with cigars for hundreds of dollars. These cigars were originally presented to visiting dignitaries from other countries and guests flying on Air Force One. Andrews Air Force base continues to be one of our stead fast customers.

Although Pacific Cigar has continued to sell cigars from this crop as their Special Reserve, the Presidential Cigars were not sold to the general public. Today, Pacific is releasing its inventory of the Presidential Cigars, now labeled PRESIDENTIAL SPECIAL RESERVE. Once the stock is sold, there will never be this cigar, this packaging again.

Can of PRESIDENTIAL cigars from the Clinton era. As with some items like the Reagan's cowboy boots, this is one of those Presidential items that you actually associate with a particular President - Clinton and his famous cigars. This is a 6" high metal can, air tight to keeps the cigars fresh. On the front is, a very large full color Presidential seal, with the eagle. We can think of many funny jokes about Clinton and his cigars, and maybe Ms. Lewinski may have something to do with the reason the White House stopped giving these cigar cans out during Clinton's second term. Excellent condition, the can is still sealed.
