Lagonda is a G.L. Pease Old London Series pipe tobacco, produced by Cornell & Diehl. It is a robust English/Balkan-style mixture featuring generous Cyprian Latakia, supported by Oriental/Turkish tobaccos and matured Virginias. It is known as a rich, smoky and complex blend, with the Latakia prominent but balanced by the sweetness of Virginia and the fragrant, slightly spicy character of the Orientals.
Lagonda is still being produced today under the G.L. Pease label. This older 8-ounce canister, however, is a particularly attractive format for collectors and smokers seeking well-aged tobacco.
