Cringle Flake 2022 is a blend of aged, partially stoved, 21-year-old Red Virginias and 19-year-old Perique. This incredible holiday mixture presents an exceptional flavor right out of the tin with a deep richness sure to improve even further with additional age. Contributing to that mature flavor, the flue-cured leaf has undergone a unique secondary fermentation process, steamed for one hour before being combined with the aged Perique and pressed and cut into flakes. Naturally sweet with spicy, piquant undertones, the result is incredibly complex with notes of stone fruits, earthy spice, and molasses.
Cringle Flake 2023 is a blend of aged, decade-old Red Virginias, 2003 vintage Perique, and stoved Katerini. This incredible holiday mixture presents an exceptional flavor right out of the tin, with a deep richness sure to improve even further with additional age. In this blend, whole leaves are pressed into cakes and then sliced into thick flakes, making this blend primed for aging while its unique profile benefits from the singular flavors of its stoved Katerini. Naturally sweet with spicy, piquant undertones, the result is incredibly complex with notes of stone fruits, earthy spice, and molasses.
