Description
Up for bid is a 2 oz tin of Cornell & Diehl’s Sun Bear: Black Locust, produced in June 2021 and numbered 03724 of 10,000. This is the 2021 release, featuring the distinctive black, red, and yellow Small Batch label.
Created by Head Blender Jeremy Reeves, this Virginia/Oriental blend combines Bright and Red Virginias with aged 2014 Basma and 2013 Izmir Orientals. Its signature touch is raw, single-farm Black Locust honey harvested in Maryland in 2020, complemented by subtle notes of silver tequila and elderflower.
The blend is described as bright and gently sweet, with fruity Virginia notes, delicate floral character, a touch of citrusy tang, and a creamy, rounded finish. The honey and other flavorings were chosen to accentuate the tobaccos’ natural flavors rather than overpower them.
