Description
Vintage MAC BAREN'S - PLUM CAKE Navy Blend AROMATIC pipe tobacco, in factory sealed, 1 oz. tin.
Early and original "MAC BAREN'S" logo, with fully painted lid, from the late 1970s to 1980s!
No date code.
"...D FROM THE BEST GRADES OF TOBACCO"
"NET WT. 1 OZ."
On lid edge: "MADE IN DENMARK" and "PLUM CAKE"
(Only scratches and slight residue remain where the distributor decal on the bottom was, but based on other very similar tins, it may have read:
"DISTRIBUTED IN THE U.S.A.
FABER, COE & GREGG, INC.
9 ENTIN ROAD, CLIFTON, N.J. 07014")
Appears to be unused. No inside movement is detected, so this is believed to remain factory sealed. Actual moisture level is unknown, of course.
Notable surface finish loss in various places on the lid paint, and more-so on the tin sides. Underside still looks pretty nice compared. A few small dings in the tin underside. No visible cracks, breaks, stress points, etc.
Buyers of the same name and complete shipping address, paying for multiple won auctions in any 24-hour period (or more, at our discretion), will have their items safely packaged together into one COMBINED SHIPPING box. After we notify TinBids of any shipping labels that were not generated and supply them with the new box parameters, they will link the tracking, adjust shipping cost, and refund the overage.
Maintained in a temperature controlled, smoke frequented cellar.
