Description
Up for auction is a lot of six sealed 2oz tins of Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead Bourbon Barrel Aged from the 2024 release. These were made by Sutliff, before the company closed and Seattle Pipe Club production moved to Cornell & Diehl.
Hogshead is Seattle Pipe Club’s pure Virginia blend, built from 10-year-old red and orange Virginias. For this edition, the blend was aged for 30 days in a bourbon barrel, which adds subtle bourbon and oak notes to the Virginias’ natural sweetness. It’s pressed and sliced into cakes, so it’s easy to rub out and pack.
Sutliff-era Seattle Pipe Club tins are a finite supply, and I think this is one of the best pure Virginia blends the brand made.
