Description
An extremely scarce sealed Balkan Sobranie pouch, from the late 80s to early 1990s. The final production of the blend, in the true original form. Production, which switched over to Gallagher's during the very early 1980s, with the blend finally being discontinued around the turn of this century. This one dates from the late 80s to the early 90s, this being discernible from the address on the pouch, which is 34 Burlington Arcade (also the Sullivan Powell shop). Near the very end of the production, probably 1992, Sobranie moved to its final location to 13 Old Bond Street.
Still fully sealed after all these decades. I have taken a picture of the pouch on the scales, to show that it still holds the original weight, and has lost no moisture. Contents feel spongy to touch and there is no rattle on shaking.
There was no difference between the contents of the original Balkan Sobranie tins and pouches, only presented in a different way.
The true Balkan Sobranie regularly sells for twice the starting bid I have chosen, however I have decided to try and give as many people as possibly the chance to obtain it, so have kept it lower.
Pouch has also been vacuum sealed for over a decade, only removed for this listing, it will be vacuum sealed again for postage.
Good luck bidding!
