Description

Step back into the Prohibition Era with this beautifully preserved King Edward Perfecto pack from 1929. Originally holding five cigars, this pack now contains four remaining cigars. One was enjoyed and reviewed on my Pipe Appeal YouTube channel — that video has since become one of my most popular, with over 12,000 views. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHZ3Pkeoa1I

Manufactured by Jno H. Swisher & Son, this Depression-era pack features a natural tobacco wrapper and a blend of fine tobaccos. These cigars have been remarkably well-preserved for nearly a century, having been acquired through a private collector as part of an original store display of 50 cigars (ten 5-packs).

Since I acquired them, the cigars have been carefully maintained in a humidor at 69% RH. To ensure safe transit, the pack will be shipped with two 69% Boveda packets.

I had the pleasure of smoking one, and the experience was unforgettable: mild, earthy, smooth, creamy, and ever so aromatic. A genuine trip back in time.

    Historical Note:
Swisher traces its roots back to 1861 and by the late 1920s had become one of the largest cigar manufacturers in America. The King Edward line, introduced during this era, quickly rose to become the world’s number one cigar by the 1940s. This pack embodies that golden moment in cigar history. The photos in this listing capture not only the cigars themselves but also the nostalgic feel of the era — a true Depression-era relic that looks straight out of a vintage tobacconist’s counter.
