Vintage McClelland Tobacco Company - MIXTURE NO. 1., in sealed tin. Net Weight 4 OZ (113.4 GRAMS). Ink stamping "17085" on the underside, is believed to be for 1985 ... aged 40 years!

Gold emblem reads:

Exceptional smoothness and light aroma make this mid mixture an ideal morning and indoor smoke, as well as a pleasant change of pace for Matured Virginia smokers."

Tin was very well kept, with zero oxidation, cracking, etc. Although it still feels pliable, the PLASTIC LID HAS CRACKED, and discolored slightly. Minimal shelf wear with just a few light mars on the label, if any, and virtually zero rub at the contact points. A teeny tiny little bulge-ding on the underside ... occurs on all of these old tins, so believed to be a manufacturing effect.

LID IS BULGING VERY SLIGHTLY FROM BEAUTIFUL AGE EXPANSION!

This has always been maintained in a dry, temperature controlled home, but the exterior has been exposed to pipe tobacco smoke.
