Description
This tin of perique was produced by the Christian Peper Tobacco Company of St. Louis Missouri. The company was acquired by the Bloch Brothers in the early 1950s, which in turn was acquired by the General Cigar and tobacco company in 1969. This tin carries the sub-labeling of Bloch brothers. Thus, the tobacco is sure to have been manufactured in the window of roughly 1950-1969. This tin contains genuine St. James Parish Perique, is sealed and full. When lightly shaken , the contents can be felt to move around, but there is no rattle. Whether it is usable or not is a mystery, but this tin could be great for a collector in any case.
