50g tin of Imperial tobacco version of Capstan Medium... this blend, according to the Tolkien estate, this was JRR Tolkien's favorite tobacco- and I understand why!. This is a hard to find vintage (1990s era) 50 gram anchovy style tin blended by Imperial Tobacco in Liverpool UK (before switching to Orlik & then MacBaren) I purchased this in 2002 but it had been at tobacconist for several years so it's got easily 25 years age on it.
Truly an exceptional straight forward blend of select ripe Virginias with a rich, smooth naturally sweet smoke with hints of grass and citrus. Just delightful. This is a medium strength flake which is perfect for both connoisseurs and collectors.
