Description
Vintage BLEND 11 ELEVEN AROMATIC PIPE MIXTURE - "FROM THE HOUSE OF EDGEWORTH" - NET WT. 12 OZ. (340.2 GRAMS).
"MADE IN U.S.A. under the direction of LARUS & BROTHER COMPANY, by UNITED STATES TOBACCO COMPANY, Richmond, Virginia 23224." Same place the cherished original blue-can Edgeworth was produced!
Gold tin, with "048" stamped on the bottom.
This is the ORIGINAL, well loved and still well missed, aromatic tobacco blend. Apparently packaged between the registration of the product (said to be) in 1971, and 1974 when Larus went out of business.
(NOTE: Do not confuse this ... with the namesake made later by Lane, which is said to be very different, and seems widely disliked.)
Unused, with undisturbed "SEALED IN FRESHNESS" tape still adhered to both the lid and the can, so this remains factory sealed.
Despite being well kept, spots of oxidation are splattered across the lid top and sides, with a bit on the can bottom rim, and a distinct small area of loss on the bottom. Minor blemishes on the beautiful blue canister sides. Zero cracking, etc.
Maintained in a dry, temperature controlled, smoke frequented cellar.
