Vintage "SEVEN SEAS" - "MILD CAVENDISH PIPE TOBACCO" (1970s?) Break-Away Display Box containing Six (6) 1-3/4 oz Unopened Pouches.
"MADE IN HOLLAND BY INTERNATIONAL TOBACCO COMPANY OF ROTTERDAM"
"DUTCH QUALITY PIPE TOBACCO"
"EXTRA MILD CAVENDISH" on pouches.
Although the is no date stamp visible, the box style and notes to "Mr. Dealer"are very similar to the 1969 production Carriage Trade set in another listing, so this is believed to be from around the same time period.

Understanding that shipping prices may be prohibitive for small dollar purchases, this countertop / shelf display set is being sold as an un-opened whole, while priced to maintain a minimum for each box or pouch of this somewhat rare item. Buyer receives original manufacturer presentation of the lot, and 10-1/2 ounces in total, for one least expensive shipping cost.
Buyers of the same name and complete shipping address, that pay for multiple won auctions in any 24-hour period, will have their items safely packaged together into one COMBINED SHIPPING box. After we notify TinBids of the shipping label that was not generated, they will combine the tracking, and refund the overage.
Condition:
At fifty years old, the box has yellowed, with minor stock wear throughout. The perforated line is beginning to break apart for about an inch at the top, on both sides, but the assembly still feels stable and tight. Packs inside have never been opened. Although one of them has lost part of its gold Seven Seas 1 3/4 oz seal, the red tape and package give no indication it was ever opened. Moisture levels are unknown, of course, but expect to re-hydrate.
Still a very nice and unique display piece as a whole, or ready to be cracked open, and each (hopefully delicious) pouch smoked!
Maintained in a temperature and moisture controlled, smoke frequented cellar.
