Description
Vintage MARLOWE pipe tobacco, in opened but undisturbed tin.
"Specially selected tobaccos.
Blended in England exclusively for
A. Garfinkel, Inc.
720 Fourteenth St., N.W.
Washington, D.C."
Small decal reads: "2 ounces net weight"
Believed to be from the 1960s or 1970s? This is the real deal - original. Painted lid, with blank gold-tone base can.
Tin seal was lost, no doubt long ago, but the contents appear to be undisturbed. Tobacco is dry. Oxidation to the inside of the tin lid and base edges, but the base outside is nice and shiny, with a couple of tiny little dings in the bottom. Some minor stock wear to lid paint, and slight discoloring on the curved Marlowe band.
Buyers of the same name and complete shipping address, paying for multiple won auctions in any 24-hour period (or more, at our discretion), will have their items safely packaged together into one COMBINED SHIPPING box. After we notify TinBids of any shipping labels that were not generated and supply them with the new box parameters, they will link the tracking, adjust shipping cost, and refund the overage.
Maintained in a temperature and moisture controlled, smoke frequented cellar.
