During the blend's heat-pressing process, the ends of the tobacco become denser, caramelizing the natural sugars and marrying the flavors in a new profound way. The result is a flake that acts more like a plug providing flavors with a much more intense, smoky, aged profile with elements of fermented dark fruit and hints of earth, oak, and hay, with a touch of spice."
