This lot represents the remaining portion of a distinguished pipe tobacco collection, presently divided across two auctions. Included are seven large mason jars, four smaller jars, two medium canisters and seven unmarked tins; most likely produced by McClelland. A bit of loose tobacco in sandwich bag.
The collection originates from the estate of a dedicated pipe enthusiast with a substantial cellar. The tobacco is estimated to be at least ten years old, with several jars bearing original labels.
In deference to the family, the identity of the original owner is being withheld.
