Rare c.1940s Capstan Navy Cut Blue Fine Cut W.D. & H.O. Wills Tin

This is the older Capstan, a larger round Wills tin with the look of the 1940s still on it. Deep blue label, old medal artwork, Cut Cake Tobacco language, impressed metal, and the practical feel of tobacco packed for use rather than show. Offered here is a scarce Capstan Navy Cut Fine Cut, Medium Strength tin from W.D. & H.O. Wills of Bristol & London, with the Fine Cut wording placing it in an earlier Capstan vocabulary before the later postwar Blue and Ready Rubbed presentation became the version most collectors recognize.

That is what makes this one so interesting. It is not trying to be pretty.
