Description

Vintage McClelland Tobacco Company - MIXTURE NO. 12, in sealed tin.

Net Weight 4 OZ (113.4 GRAMS).

Ink stamping "127085" means it was packaged in 1985 ... aged 41 years in the sealed tin!

"Virginias * Orientals * Tobaccos For The Pipe"

    "Manufactured by
    McClelland Tobacco Company
    Kansas City, Missouri
    U.S.A."

    Gold emblem reads:
    "MIXTURE NO. 12.
Rich and fully flavored, especially appealing in the evening; still, spiced gently enough with Latakia and Turkish leaf to be a superb occasional tobacco for the individual who normally prefers lighter mixtures and Matured Virginias."

Tin was very well kept, with zero oxidation, cracking, etc. Although it still feels pliable, the PLASTIC LID HAS CRACKED. Minimal shelf wear with just a few light mars on the label, if any, and virtually zero rub at the contact points. A few teeny tiny little bulge-dings on the underside ... occurs on all of these old tins, so believed to be a manufacturing effect.

LID IS BULGING FROM BEAUTIFUL AGE EXPANSION ... But the BOTTOM IS WELL DEPRESSED!

Buyers of the same name and complete shipping address, paying for multiple won auctions in any 24-hour period (or more, at our discretion), will have their items safely packaged together into one COMBINED SHIPPING box. After we notify TinBids of any shipping labels that were not generated and supply them with the new box parameters, they will link the tracking, adjust shipping cost, and refund the overage.

Maintained in a temperature and moisture controlled, smoke frequented cellar.
