RO Series Acadian Gold, Acadian VaPer and Acadian English Premium Pipe Tobacco.

The RO Series being sold here consists of three 50g tins of Acadian Gold, Acadian VaPer and Acadian English Premium Pipe Tobacco from at least 2017, so they have at least nine years of age on these tins maybe more.

In October of 2015, while spending a day with Mark Ryan at the L.A. Poche Perique Company in St. James Parish, Louisiana, Russ Ouellette asked Mark if he had ever thought of trying to process Virginia in the same method as Perique. Mark said that he had thought of it, but was told it wouldn't work. After a bit of conversation, Mark decided to bring down some bright, sweet, yellow, Canadian-grown Virginia to give it a try. The processing time had to be much shorter because of the aggressive fermentation due to the high sugar content.

1) Acadian Gold: Made of 100% Virginia. The result has more depth than normal Virginia with a malty note unlike anything else. The RO Series Acadian Gold is 100% pure Acadian Gold.

2) Acadian VaPer: Virginia and Perique. Acadian Gold is combined with Acadian Perique for a VaPer blend with an unusually deep flavor and body.

3) Acadian English: Made of Virginia and Latakia. Blended with a modest amount of latakia and a touch of unflavored black cavendish.

Ignore the handwritten dates on the bottom of the tins, that is just the date that I acquired the tin. They may or may not be older than that.
