(Ended) RARE! Larus (1970s) EDGEWORTH EXTRA HIGH GRADE SLICED Pipe Tobacco - 1 1/2 oz Cellophane Sealed Tin

This must be classified as a somewhat rare item!

Vintage L&B Edgeworth Extra High Grade Sliced pipe tobacco in a very unusual, 1 1/2 OZS. NET, hinged-lid tin. (Sorry I didn't get the hinges to show well in pics!)

Probably from the 1960s, and certainly no newer than 1974 when "Larus & Bro. Co. of Richmond, VA. U.S.A." is said to have gone out of business!

This has been stored in its original 10-pack dealer display box (not shown, and not included) for all these decades.

Cellophane wrap has discolored slightly with age and the seal is compromised, with an open gap along one long edge. The wrap has not been opened or removed, and the L&B stamp seal within is unbroken, of course.

NOTE: There is notable oxidation at one end, as well as splattered in several other places. It looks like it comes off the tin, but it cannot be reached inside the cellophane, so lots of crumbly bits are loose inside there. Otherwise, still NOS factory perfect. Moisture levels inside are unknown, of course.

Very nice and unique display piece as a whole, or ready to be cracked open and enjoyed!
