Description

The last two Christmas Cheers ever made. McClelland closed its doors in February 2018, and the 2017 vintage stands as the final entry in the longest-running vintage-dated Virginia series in American pipe tobacco. Offered here as a matched flight: consecutive vintages, sealed, from a single cellar.

Christmas Cheer needs little introduction — a single-crop, bright red Virginia pressed into flake, blended once a year from that season's leaf. Each vintage is its own crop and its own character, which is what makes a consecutive pairing worth keeping together. These two mark the end of the line.

Both 100g (3.53 oz) tins are factory sealed with pull-tabs intact and original plastic overcaps. Date codes stamped 7 2016 and 7 2017 are photographed on the tin bottoms — zoom in and verify for yourself. Cellared since release in a climate-controlled wine cellar, never opened, never moved between storage conditions.

From the La Clave Collection. No reserve.
