THE BLEND

A quieter kind of English

This is a ribbon-cut English mixture where Virginia and
Latakia sit in genuine balance rather than one crowding out
the other. Neither leaf pulls rank -- the smoke reads as
rounded and even from the first light to the bottom of the
bowl, without the sharp or bitter turn some English blends
take late in a session.

It packs easily, lights without coaxing, and holds a steady
burn with very little tending required, which makes it a
forgiving blend for a distracted afternoon or an unhurried
evening by the fire.

People who know the classic London-style Latakia blends will
find familiar territory here -- but this isn't an attempt to
copy one. It's milder-mannered than a true Latakia bomb,
closer in temperament to a gentle morning mixture, and it
rewards being judged on its own terms rather than measured
against another tin.
