This is the classic green Regular variety of Macdonald Export cigarette tobacco and features the familiar Macdonald “Lassie” trademark. Period tobacco-industry material identifies the green 50 gram pouch as the regular Export blend.
The RJR-Macdonald company identification and bilingual Health and Welfare Canada smoking warning date this package approximately to 1978–1988, most likely the early-to-mid 1980s.
The pouch appears full and unopened in its original factory clear wrapping, with the original cellophane tear strip intact. There is age-related discoloration, spotting, wrinkling, and shelf wear to the packaging, all clearly visible in the photographs. The green graphics remain strong and attractive.
An excellent surviving piece of vintage Canadian tobacciana and a nice companion to the other color-coded Macdonald Export cigarette-tobacco varieties.
