Blackpoint is a G.L. Pease Classic Collection tobacco, produced by Cornell & Diehl. It is a rich English mixture combining Cyprian Latakia, Orientals, Virginias and Perique. The result is a full, complex blend balancing smoky Latakia with sweet Virginia, fragrant Oriental leaf and the dark-fruit/spicy character of Perique.
Blackpoint is still being produced, although today it is generally encountered in smaller tins; this older 8-ounce canister is a desirable format for cellared tobacco.
