Vintage Kite mentholated cigarette tobacco in its original package, blended from Turkish and domestic tobaccos by Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation of Louisville, Kentucky. The package retains its period federal revenue stamp and bold green-and-cream geometric graphics.
Kite is a considerably less familiar Brown & Williamson name than the company’s major cigarette brands. Its Turkish-and-domestic blend reflects the classic American cigarette-tobacco style, making this a particularly interesting package for collectors of early roll-your-own tobacco, revenue stamps and mid-century tobacciana.
