Description
Vintage MAC BAREN'S, ROYAL TWIST DE LUXE * ROLL CAKE * (1980s-1990s) pipe tobacco, in sealed tin. NET WT. 2 OZ.
Earlier "Mac Baren's" logo, with fully painted lid, and no warnings or bar code, etc. ... likely 1980s to 1990s.
On top of lid: "FIRST CLASS SMOKING TOBACCO",
... and "LONG MATURED TO BRING OUT THIS SUPERIOR BLEND"
On lid edge: "ROYAL TWIST" and "MADE IN DENMARK"
On bottom ID decal:
"DISTRIBUTED IN THE U.S.A.
FIRESIDE INDUSTRIES, INC.
50 GRAPHICS PL. MOONACHIE N.J. 07074
TELEPHONE NO. 201-641-1700
NETT WEIGHT 2 OUNCES (underlined)
MADE IN DENMARK"
Appears to be unused. Both the lid and bottom are still depressed, and zero inside movement is detected, so this is understood to remain factory sealed.
Tin was very well kept, minimal oxidation on the underside rub-points. Small amount of shelf wear, scratching on the lid, and rub at the contact points. One teeny tiny ding on the underside edge, almost invisible. Zero cracking, stress points, holes, etc. Old price tag residue remains on the lid.
Very nice and unique display piece as a whole, or ready to be cracked open and enjoyed!

Maintained in a temperature and moisture controlled, smoke frequented cellar.
