Description
One factory-sealed 50g tin of Fribourg & Treyer Blackjack, produced in Germany by Kohlhase & Kopp during the mid-2000s (circa 2004–2006).
This particular tin captures a notable piece of tobacco history: originally marketed under the archaic 19th-century trade name ‘negrohead’, the blend was renamed Blackjack in the late 1990s/early 2000s. This tin represents the rare transitional period where factory-applied "BLACKJACK" labels were placed over the original tin printing.
Condition: Factory sealed rectangular tin featuring original Iwan Ries & Co. retailer sticker on the base. Displays natural light patina and cosmetic wear along the gold-wash rim consistent with 20 years of cellar age.
Storage: Cellared continuously in a climate-controlled, non-smoking environment.
Weight: 50 grams
