Steamworks: a complex Virginia/Oriental flake that explores the deep, natural sweetness of six exquisite flue-cured grades — ranging from deep Mahogany to brighter Lemon/Orange crops — enhanced by two distinct steaming processes. Presented in unsteamed, partially steamed, and blackened formats, these top-tier Virginia grades combine with a selection of vintage, heirloom Orientals, including Black Sea Sokhoum leaf from 2005, and genuine Louisiana Perique from C&D's exclusive farm in St. James Parish, to create a naturally sweet, subtly spicy, and exhilarating smoking mixture with a rich, matured flavor right out of the tin.

Tempering this study in Perique, C&D's proprietary Red Virginia Cavendish and a whisper of Dark-Fired Kentucky contribute complexity and balance, and the entire mixture is steeped in rum for seven days to deepen and marry the flavors. The result is quite unlike any other pipe tobacco in existence: It's potent in strength and concentrated in flavor with pronounced umami notes alongside hints of loamy earth, sweet stone fruits, mesquite wood, and freshly cracked black pepper.

Grown, harvested, cured, and barrel-aged all at 31 Farms — a single, family-owned farm in the heart of St. James Parish, Louisiana — C&D's authentic Perique contributes unparalleled richness and complexity, ranging from deep stone fruit notes to bold, piquant spice. This rare varietal — the rarest in the world, in fact — combines with several top-tier flue-cured grades, including Heirloom Red Virginia tips from 2013, aged ten years; matured Georgia-grown Red-Orange leaf from 2019; and Canadian Bright leaf from 2019, boasting an impressive sugar content of 28.5%.
