Description
This tin of Peterson Perfect Plug is from when it was made by Kohlhase & Kopp, who stopped blending in 2018.
It's the old style rectangular tin. The tin show some rust on the edges, but the seal on the tin is intact.
This excellent plug tobacco features a blend of selected Virginia leaf from Africa and Brazil, along with burley leaf from Malawi. Lightly cased before drying and pressing, the tobaccos are then heated and stored for two weeks before cutting. The result is a full-bodied yet fruity blend, sure to delight experienced pipe smokers.
The taste is a powerful combination of Virginia and Burley with a hint of fruit-like casing, deep, dark, and rich. Despite its depth, the flavoring is not overpowering or overly sweet. This tobacco has been heavily stoved and pressed, and is refined and gentle on the palate.
