Description
Must be categorized as a rare, seemingly complete, set of 6 (six) different Kentucky Club tobacco tin flavor varieties. Likely a sampler kit, with original clear plastic holder tray. Listed address in Wheeling WV indicates 1943 to 1969 production, while under ownership by The Block Bros. Tobacco Co. (See Tobacco Reviews - John Middleton, Inc.)
Most of the bag liners seem to be still sealed, but at least two or three have been opened. It's difficult to tell if product was removed from any, as one of the still sealed bags sits low in the tin (not full looking). Not much though, if any. Tobacco odor emanates from the obviously opened bag on the far right, but not so from the other open tins (which should be taken as a good sign?) The exterior condition of each tin begins excellent on the right, and progresses to lightly distressed (and a little dirty) on the left, suggesting that it may have been stored with the left end more exposed, and likely to have those tins fondled more often. Plastic case shows scratching from handling and sliding, and has discolored some with age/exposure.
The following six blends are represented:
Mild Kentucky Club (original) - similar to common KC tins
Whitehall Smoking Mixture (mimics Dunhill's My Mixture font)
Mild Kentucky Club Mixture - plaid tin
London Dock - mustard tin
Greenbriar - a mild menthol, green tin
Brush Creek Morning Mixture - deep red tin (with tobacco odor)
Will be packed safely for shipping.
