One of McConnell's original blends dating back to 1848, Red Virginia is technically a Virginia/Perique pipe tobacco; however, as the named suggests, it prioritizes the Red Virginias, with the Perique used more as a condiment alongside a slightly sweet topping to further enhance the Virginias' natural flavors. Pressed, cut, and rubbed out into a broken flake, it's an ideal blend for Virginia aficionados.
