Description
Most readily recognized for their Golden Sliced pipe tobacco, Orlik was originally founded as a pipe-making marque by Louis Orlik on London's Bond Street. The company's success could only be attributed to their high-quality briars and reasonable price points. This "RJ" is a rather petite take on the classic Billiard shape, with a subtly tapering shank and a more sleekly tapering stem of jet-black vulcanite. Although, not a Dunhill pipe, this pipe's shape is very reminiscent of the legendary pipe maker's shaping qualities. The bowl stands atop a fairly firm heel with it's walls pert, rising to a flat rim with just a slight hint of curvature. The stummel's warm stain displays a load of Bird's Eye on either flank and Cross Grain at the fore of the stummel and beneath.
This pipe was acquired restored and unsmoked and remains as such and comes in the condition as reflected in the photos provided.
