Savinelli Corallo Punto Oro shape 207, smoked only a few times. The bowl has no cake built up, only the evidence of a few smokes. The stem is in excellent condition. Bought at the Savinelli storefront in Milan, Italy.
Includes the original collector’s case, pipe bag, and handwritten date of purchase.

For the Punto Oro series, certain pieces of briar were selected and given a rusticated finish known as "Corallo." This finishing technique, popular in the 1960s, was shrouded in mystery: only the craftsman who performed it knew the exact method. The rustication, likely done with a tool, was then finished by hand on each pipe. The briar used was of excellent quality, showcasing a beautiful natural colour. The lightness of the pipe is the result of a five-year seasoning of the briar and deep rustication, which gives the pipe a reduced weight and notable durability.
